Present Continuous

 The present continuous tense (also known as the present progressive tense) is used to describe actions that are happening right now or are ongoing.


Structure:

Subject + am/is/are + verb(-ing)

Usage of Present Continuous Tense:

1. Actions happening at the moment of speaking

  Examples:

        She is talking on the phone.
        We are studying for the exam.

2. Temporary actions or situations. 
  
   Examples:
    
         I am staying with a friend this week.
         He is working in London for a few months.

3. Trends or changing situations

     Examples:

        More people are using electric cars.
        The weather is getting warmer.

4. Planned future events (near future)

    Examples:

        I am meeting my boss at 2 PM.
        They are flying to Paris tomorrow.

5. Repeated actions with "always" (often with annoyance or criticism)

    Examples: 

        He is always leaving the lights on!
         She is always complaining.
